My Grandmother bought this Buick in the winter of 1999 from Devoe Buick in Florida when it had about 9,000 miles on it. When spring came, she drove it back home to Cincinnati (Norwood), Ohio. It was garage kept, not smoked in, and regularly serviced at Schott Buick. It spent summers in Cincinnati and winters in Florida, where there was no garage, but it was covered religiously. When it was time for her to stop driving, she passed the car to my mom. They lived in an area where anything they needed was within 5 miles, so they didn't put many miles on each year. They drove it regularly 2-4 days a week, approximately 4,000-5,000 miles a year. 3 years ago, mom passed the car to me and I've put about 10,000 miles on it since then. Most of that was highway miles from trips from Monroe, MI to Cincinnati. We've maintained it "road ready" It's been a fantastic and very reliable car for our family for years, so I hate to see it sit on the street and not be driven often. We used it as a spare car, but no longer have garage or even driveway space for it. There is a lot of life left in it so I'm offering it up to the public. Nice looking paint with some superficial scratches, minimal rust (just started since it came to Michigan), clean interior with a few stains in the carpet and one blue stain on the edge of the front seat where the driver and passenger seat meet. NEW- (within the last 6 months) - battery, fan belt, harmonic balancer, power window actuator, coolant flush, oil change. Tires and brakes were done 4 years ago and have about 11,000 miles on them. Drives well in snow. Everything works as it should with the exception of the 1st speed of the climate control fan, the rest work fine. Automatic headlights with daytime running lights. Excellent A/C and Heat. Window tint is 20+ years old and in good overall condition with clear optics, but the rear passenger window tint film has a small tear in it from our dog. Drivers seat is still comfortable with a supportive seat back, but the seat bottom is starting to sag a bit. Could use some additional padding to be optimal. Had a dent in the front passenger side bumper from a low speed impact (5-7mph?) by a single mom with no insurance that hit me at a gas station. No engine bay components were damaged, purely cosmetic. Had the dent pulled out, looks better. Photos of original damage available. There was another very minor accident in it's history. Mom was stopped at a traffic light and the taxi cab behind her thought the light changed to green and hit the gas. You can see an indentation in the rear bumper (under the B in Buick, to the left of the Observatory sticker) from the bolt head from his front license plate. Later that afternoon while backing the car out the garage, she clipped the outer edge of the passenger mirror. It really wasn't her day. lol. Carpet and All weather floor mats, tire chains, car cover, owners and Haynes manual included. Spare tire is original (never used), no dry rot and holds air. Overall, I would have to say that this is one of the most attractive Buick Century's on the market considering its remarkable condition and very low mileage. Cosmetic Blemish Report -Please note there is some minor cosmetic damage located towards front of Hood(Pic Attached) -Some touched up scratches on Hood and Right Side Fender(Pics Attached) Other then the minor cosmetic blemishes mentioned above, I really cannot find much to fault this baby for........ Please be realistic when purchasing a Pre-Owned vehicle that is a 19 years of age. I do my best to find any cosmetic blemish a purchaser would want to know about. A normal surface, hairline scratch chip or small touch-up is most likely to be found on any used car of this age. If you are expecting a Brand New car with no blemishes then please shop elsewhere but I can guarantee that this car is in awesome condition and the next owner of this vehicle will be extremely pleased and completely satisfied.
